Business Development Manager (field-based)

Full time. Remote. Base salary £30k. OTE Year 1: circa £60k

We are looking for an experienced self-generating Inside/Field Sales Executive to join the team at FETCH reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, with the potential to manage a team. The Inside/Field Sales Executive will have the capability and self-motivation to persistently look for new business and be willing to work within a territory or area within a reasonable distance from home. You will be developing direct customer relationships through videoconferencing, face-to-face, and telephone/meeting-based approaches, attracting new clients, winning new accounts and maximising profitability. You will work prospects through the entire sales cycle, including developing new leads, demonstrating the product and turning interested venues into long-term customers

Areas of responsability

You will be responsible for closing new deals at a high rate. The role will involve traveling throughout your territory regularly, visiting and prospecting both in person and virtually. You will be required to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and accurately maintain records of all sales leads and customer accounts through the company’s CRM.

You will be the face of the brand and representing the company during all customer interactions. You will be required to educate customers on the products and to explain to them how our services can benefit them financially and professionally. With a pleasant, likeable demeanour, potential new customers will want to buy from you, either now or in the future, enabling you to actively build a strong pipeline and network of customers. You will always have an eye on the company’s industry competitors, new products and market conditions.

Specific duties

  • Generate business leads.

  • Follow through on sales leads.

  • Demonstrating and presenting services.

  • Call, visit and follow up with potential clients.

  • Negotiate contracts and packages.

  • Attend meetings, training and other sales events.

  • Maintain accurate records.

  • Increase company revenue.

  • Update and maintain sales CRM.

  • Aim to achieve monthly targets.

  • Prepare reports.


Desired skills and experience

  • Experience working in a restaurant, pub or bar - preferred but not essential.

  • Experience selling hospitality technology - preferred but not essential.

  • Proficient in another European language - preferred but not essential.

  • Previous field sales OR inside sales experience with focus on outbound sales - minimum 1 year

  • Be able to work independently.

  • Be confident and focused self-starter.

  • Communicate effectively and be able to handle objections.

  • Be able to conduct meetings, video conferences, and presentations efficiently.

  • Have the aptitude for a job in sales and a professional demeanour

  • Be able to demonstrate having achieved targets and meet deadlines

  • Strong planning and time management skills

  • Expert negotiating capabilities.

  • Be able to generate business leads.

  • Experience with CRMs.

  • Must have a full driving license and own car.

  • Must have a quiet work environment from which you can make video and phone calls.
